Christmas Services at Holy Trinity
2018 has just gone but we're already planning 2019, with (we pray) the star back on the tower, the lights on, the tree up, ready to celebrate the birth of Jesus.
Here are our Christmas services (as planned so far for 2019).
Sunday 15th December
All Age Count-down to Christmas Service 10:45am
Something new for this year. An all age service that helps us countdown the final 10 days to Christmas.
Advent Reflection and Carols 6:30pm
A more traditional mix of carols and reflection to focus in the build up to Christmas.
Wednesday 18th December Pub Carol Service 7:30pm
Carols, beer, good cheer, and then a pub quiz afterwards at the Waggon.
Sunday 22nd December
All Age Nativity Service
An informal nativity service for all ages. Some people come dressed up to take part in our scratch nativity! You are very welcome to join in. Alternatively, just come and enjoy the mix of old and new carols and the children (and grown-ups) re-enacting the events of the first Christmas.
Candlelit Carol Service
Our most popular service of the year. Candlelit, subtle lighting, and a mix of classic and contemporary carols interspersed with Christmas Bible readings.
Christmas Eve, 24th December
The family favourite. Oranges, candles, cocktail-sticks and sweets ... and of course children friendly carols. Find out just what it all has to do with Christmas in this 45 minute service!
Communion Carol Service
A slightly more traditional, reflective service of Holy Communion and carols.
Wednesday 25th December - Christmas Day
Get the day in focus with a quiet and shorter, reflective early(ish) morning communion service.
All Age Christmas Celebration
Does what it says on the tin. We celebrate the birth of Jesus with a 45min (ish) service suitable for all ages. For our regulars - note we are starting at 10:30am.
Sunday 29th December
All Age Service
The second Sunday of Christmas and an opportunity to think on all that has happened.
End of year Prayer and Praise
A chance to look back on the year and look ahead to the next in prayer and praise, with a bit of a "praise-party" celebration feel at the end.
