Christmas 2026

2026 has been a year of strong weather, strong emotions and strong opinions. In all the ups and downs, there is one who is above it all, came into the midst of it all and offers to meet you and me in the real messiness of our lives. Come and join us as we find hope and love together in Jesus.

2026 has also been a significant year for us as a church. We've celebrated 150 years of God's faithfulness to us and we have started a significant building project to make our main space accessible and flexible for the future. That will mean some of our Christmas Services might feel a little different (in venue but not content). Scroll down to see more.

Service Details:

Nativity Carols - 10:30am Sunday 20th December

A service for every age in which we go through the Christmas story. This year it will be our micro nativity, fitting it into the space as we meet at the church centre. Feel free to come dressed up to have a part.

Carol Service - 5:30pm and 7:30pm, Sunday 20th December

Our most popular service of the year. Everyone always welcome. Slightly different this year due to not being in the main church. But the same atmosphere: subtle lighting, and a mix of classic and contemporary carols interspersed with Christmas Bible readings.

Christmas Eve
Christingle Service -
4:30pm, Thursday 24th December

The family favourite. Oranges, candles, cocktail-sticks and sweets ...and of course children friendly carols.
Come and find out how the Christingle can help us understand Christmas.
This year we are holding the Christingle Service at the Spring Meadow Social Club so that we can fit everyone in.

Carols and Communion - 8:30pm, Thursday 24th December

A more reflective service of carols, readings and Holy Communion. In the church centre.

Christmas Day

Communion Service - 8.30am Friday 25th December

Get the day in focus with a quiet and shorter, reflective early(ish) morning communion service.

All Age Christmas Celebration -10.30am Friday 25th December

Does what it says on the tin. We celebrate the birth of Jesus with a 50 min (ish) service suitable for all ages.

Sunday 28th December

No morning service

6:30pm Evening Prayer
Our evening service, and for one Sunday only, our main service. The theme is "who is really king?" from Matthew 2:1-23.
